VIDEO: Meeting Between Putin and Xi Begins in Beijing

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Beijing. It is noteworthy that Putin is currently on a state visit to China, marking his first foreign visit since taking office as President of Russia.

The welcoming ceremony is taking place in the square of the People's Great Hall. This building hosts sessions of the Communist Party of China, major official events, meetings, and conferences, as well as receptions for foreign heads of state.

Putin was welcomed by the President of the People's Republic of China. The two leaders shook hands and greeted each member of their respective delegations.

The leaders were honored with cannon fire, and a ceremonial guard was present at the event. They witnessed the passing of an honor guard and a military band.

Following this, negotiations between Putin and Xi Jinping are expected to take place.
