External Attempts to Stage a Coup in Georgia, Says Kaha Kaladze
The Secretary General of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party and Mayor of Tbilisi, Kaha Kaladze, has announced that there are attempts from abroad to stage a coup in the country.
"Of course, there are attempts from outside for a coup or revolution to take place in the country," Kaladze stated during an appearance on Georgian TV channel "Rustavi-2." He noted that "the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Iceland, who arrived in Tbilisi, went directly to the opposition rally" taking place in front of the Georgian Parliament.
"This is an attempt to provoke polarization in the country... Everything should be called by its right name," Kaladze added. At the same time, he expressed confidence that there will be no "Maidans" in Georgia.
