Authorities Closely Monitor Every Word and Action of Bishop Bagrat

According to sources close to the ruling Civil Contract Party, the authorities are closely monitoring every word, step, and plan of Bishop Bagrat.

As reported by the newspaper, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has urged his colleagues to provide counterarguments in response to the Bishop's statements, to refute them, and to demonstrate through various claims that Bagrat is associated with the "former regime" and that his aim is to bring them back to power. However, they have been instructed to do so in a correct manner, avoiding personal insults, so that international partners do not have grounds to criticize.

The same sources indicate that it has been a while since Pashinyan has had one-on-one meetings with his colleagues, and discussions have not taken place, but they are receiving various messages aimed at discrediting Bishop Bagrat through unknown users. Pashinyan’s family website is also active in this regard.

It is worth noting that the Civil Contract Party used to meet frequently with Pashinyan, but encounters have been halted due to concerns that protests might move to areas adjacent to their office as a result of the movement initiated by the Bishop. Consequently, communications with Pashinyan have shifted to online formats.

Additionally, Nikol Pashinyan has not had a meeting with the party's board lately (they used to meet every Tuesday), and the board is anxiously waiting for when they will convene to discuss the situation and clarify their next steps.
