Putin Comments on Shooting Incident Involving Slovakia's Prime Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico a brave and strong-willed man. He expressed hope that these qualities would help the Prime Minister cope with this difficult situation.

In a telegram to his Slovak counterpart, Putin stated, “This monstrous crime cannot be justified in any way; please convey to him my wishes for a swift recovery.”

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot multiple times in Handlová after a government meeting. He is currently injured and has been hospitalized, with his condition assessed as critical.

The attacker has been apprehended.
