Kotayk Deputy Governor Aims to Dismiss Teachers Participating in Opposition Rallies, Says Daniel Ioannisyan
Daniel Ioannisyan, the president of the 'Informed Citizens' NGO, has claimed that the Deputy Governor of Kotayk is attempting to dismiss teachers who participated in opposition rallies.
He specifically noted: 'It appears that the Deputy Governor of Kotayk wants to remove teachers involved in opposition gatherings from their jobs. This is a criminally punishable act, and it is essential to discuss the authoritarian tendencies of the ruling party officials in the regions and communities.'
He also pointed out issues such as attempts to politicize schools (which, for now, the Ministry of Education has been trying to counter), pressures on opposition councils, and the politicization of the Defense Army.
'It is time for the ruling party to understand that if this continues, there will come a day when the people will be so disgusted that they will agree to the rise of pro-Russian authorities.'
Ioannisyan added, 'I mentioned regions and communities, but it is also worth recalling the instances of election fraud within the ruling party's administration and the failure to take action against those who spit in the face of citizens.'
