Salome Zourabichvili Announces Veto on Foreign Agents Bill
The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, confirmed during a CNN broadcast that she will impose a veto on the "Transparency of Foreign Influence" bill. The Georgian Parliament adopted the bill on Tuesday in its third and final reading.
"I will impose a veto," Zourabichvili stated. The Georgian President added that the law is moving Georgia away from joining the EU.
Zourabichvili also described the ongoing protests in the country as peaceful.
