Video: Massive Fire in Warsaw Covers About 80% of Building
A massive fire broke out today in the capital of Poland. A large shopping complex, housing around 1400 stores, was engulfed in flames, with around 80% of the building affected. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries.
According to the State Fire Service, the fire started during the night and rapidly spread throughout the building due to the accumulation of flammable materials inside, primarily textiles. Local media reports indicate that the main tenants of the shopping center in the Bialoleka micro-district were Asians.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but it has been localized. The roof of the complex has partially collapsed, and residents of nearby areas are advised to close their windows and stay indoors, as smoke generated from the burning chemicals may pose health risks.
