Russia's Defense Ministry to Be Led by a Civilian: Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to appoint a civilian to lead the country's Ministry of Defense. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
“The President has decided that the Ministry of Defense should be led by a civilian,” Peskov said. Previously, it was reported that Putin had proposed Andrey Belousov for the position of Defense Minister, who previously served as First Deputy Prime Minister.
Peskov emphasized the importance of integrating the power sector within the Russian economy to align with the “dynamics of the moment.” He reminded that in the battlefield, victory goes to those who are more open to innovations and “operational implementation.”
