Protests Resumed in Tbilisi
Several marches are taking place in the central part of Tbilisi. The protests are dedicated to Europe Day and are against the foreign agent law.
Civil society organizations have planned a large-scale protest demanding the withdrawal of the foreign agent law. It is worth noting that the Parliament of Georgia has already adopted the controversial bill in the second reading, with a third reading expected.
The ruling party asserts that the bill aims solely to increase transparency in the operations of civil society organizations and media receiving foreign funding. However, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili believes that it is a 'Russian law' and has promised to veto it.
