During ongoing protest actions on May 10, around 11:10 AM, a group of individuals blocked the interstate road connecting Meghri and Yerevan in the Malishka area of Vayots Dzor province. This information has been reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

While carrying out their official duties to maintain public order, police officers urged participants of the protest to open the road and restore traffic. Following this incident, a criminal case has been initiated based on the features of Article 452, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The participant involved in the protest has been arrested based on established grounds of reasonable suspicion directly arising from the commission of a crime.

An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to provide a legal assessment of the actions of the mentioned individual.

Notice: A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia by a legally binding court ruling.
