Mikhail Mishustin to be Reappointed as Prime Minister of Russia
The State Duma of Russia has today approved Mikhail Mishustin's candidacy for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. A total of 375 deputies voted in favor of confirming Mishustin as Prime Minister, while 57 abstained and no votes were cast against him.
The candidates for deputy prime ministers and ministers will be discussed by the State Duma on May 13, announced Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the State Duma.
It is worth recalling that immediately after President Vladimir Putin's inauguration, the cabinet, led by Mikhail Mishustin, resigned its powers before the new head of state took office. And once again, Mishustin's candidacy has been proposed for this position; he has been the head of the Russian government since 2020.
