David Khajakyan on Impeachment of the Prime Minister
A member of the Civil Contract party will not join the impeachment initiative, especially if the opposition resolves the issue of insufficient mandates.
David Khajakyan, the deputy chairman of the board of the 'Bright Armenia' party, wrote on his Facebook page: 'Yesterday's gathering was large and spirited. However, bringing the process to parliament will yield predictable results. Not a single member from the Civil Contract party will join the initiative unless the opposition finds a way to address the lack of mandates.'
'When this process concludes and the Bishop decides to continue the process through parliament, the opposition will only be united in submitting their mandates, which I have serious doubts about. Moreover, the impeachment process will also imply the nomination of a candidate for prime minister, which at this stage will not benefit the movement, as this is a viable measure only when the authorities concede.'
