Biden Warns Israel Publicly for the First Time

U.S. President Joe Biden has admitted in an interview with CNN that Israel has used American weapons to kill civilians in the Gaza Strip. For the first time publicly, Biden has warned Israel that the U.S. will halt arms sales if Israeli forces carry out a large-scale incursion into the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

“I have made it clear that if they enter Rafah... I will not supply the weapons that have already been used to seize Rafah, to occupy cities, to resolve issues there,” Biden said. The U.S. president acknowledged that Israel has used American arms to kill civilians in Gaza, where the Israeli Defense Forces have been fighting to eliminate Hamas for seven months.
