Video: Strong Fire at a Factory in Italy

A fire broke out at the "Alpitronic" factory in the city of Bolzano, located in northern Italy, which produces electric vehicle charging stations. This was reported by the Reppublica newspaper on Wednesday, May 8.

According to the publication, the fire ignited around 9:00 AM local time in an area where renovation work was taking place and quickly spread.

"The fire has caused thick smoke. It is advisable to keep doors and windows closed, as well as to turn off air conditioning and ventilation systems," stated a civil protection announcement cited by the newspaper.

At this moment, airspace over the city is closed. The Bolzano city hall has clarified that "the situation is under control." For safety reasons, one school has been evacuated, but there are no reports of casualties.
