French military personnel will become targets for the Russian armed forces if they find themselves in the conflict zone in Ukraine. This was stated today at a press briefing by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“If the French are in the conflict zone, they will inevitably become targets for the Russian armed forces,” she said, commenting on French President Emmanuel Macron's statements regarding the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.

It is worth recalling that earlier, President Macron reiterated the idea that he is not opposed to sending troops to Ukraine. He specified that such a step would be taken if Russia breaks through the defenses and Kyiv requests assistance.
