Fire on Abovyan Street

On May 8, at 11:01 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received reports of smoke coming from the entrance of a building on Abovyan Street in Yerevan. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency response units from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched two firefighting teams and a vehicle from the gas protection service to the scene.

It was found that the fire had broken out in the basement kitchen of one of the buildings on Abovyan Street. The fire was contained by 11:47 AM and extinguished by 12:22 PM. In the kitchen area (15 sqm), property and appliances were partially burned.
