Cold Weather Expected in Mountainous Areas Tonight

In the mountainous regions of the Republic at altitudes of 1800-2000 meters and higher, cold temperatures of up to -1 to -2 degrees Celsius are expected in the night from May 8 to May 9. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

In Yerevan, rain and thunderstorms are expected after noon on May 8, continuing into the night of May 9, with possible hail in certain areas of the city. During thunderstorms, wind gusts may reach speeds of 17-20 m/s.

During the day on May 9, dry weather is anticipated without precipitation. In the provinces, rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day of May 8, from May 10 to 13 in significant parts of the regions, and in some areas on May 9. Intense rainfall is predicted during the day on May 10-13 in certain regions, with possible hail. Winds are expected from the northwest at 2-5 m/s, with wind intensification of 18-23 m/s during thunderstorms.

Air temperatures will gradually increase by 2-4 degrees during the day on May 8-9, while temperatures will drop by 2-3 degrees at night on May 9.
