Archbishop of Shirak Diocese Responds to Pashinyan's Statement
Hraparak.am reports: “Today, during his press conference, Nikol Pashinyan addressed the clergy demanding his resignation. He stated, ‘If some clergymen are making political statements, it means they are admitting their failure or inability to provide spiritual leadership.’
We asked the Archbishop of Shirak Diocese, Mikael Saroyan, to respond to this statement: ‘Well, that’s exactly why we haven’t failed; he has failed, and that is why we want to correct his failures. He has failed in everything, in every field, there isn’t a single domain where he hasn’t failed, he has even failed in the area of asphalting, which was the only thing he was supposed to succeed at. In other words, there is no place where he hasn’t failed; he has failed everywhere. Even the unsuccessful Panos is a successful figure compared to him. Do you understand? The unsuccessful Panos is a successful character in comparison to him,’ said Mikael Saroyan.
Let us recall that earlier, Pashinyan had addressed the conflict between the government and the church.
