Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated the country's residents on the occasion of Easter, referring to God as Ukraine's "ally" in the war against Russia.

The President emphasized that Easter symbolizes "the liberation of the human soul from the bondage of evil and darkness," as well as "the victory of good and justice, the triumph of life over death."

"The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor. And the present has shown us the true meaning of these words: when we all got closer to each other. Meanwhile, the former neighbor, who always wanted to become our brother, is forever far from us. He has broken all the commandments, demanded our home, and came to kill us. The world sees this; God knows this. And we believe that God has a shoulder patch with the flag of Ukraine. Therefore, with such an ally, life will surely triumph over death," said Zelensky.
