Zurabishvili Accuses Government of Changing the Country’s Course
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has stated that the current government has launched an assault on the Constitution, which enshrines the country’s pro-European course. This was reported by Interfax.
During a meeting with ambassadors from various countries, she mentioned that provocative statements regarding a change in Georgia's political course were made just a few days ago during a rally of government supporters in Tbilisi.
Zurabishvili urged the ambassadors to promote high-level visits to Georgia before the end of May, as long as the law on transparency of foreign influence, which has triggered a crisis, has not been finally adopted.
