Weightlifter Samvel Gasparyan Undergoes Surgery

Member of the Armenian men's weightlifting team, 102 kg weight class Samvel Gasparyan has undergone surgery.

In an interview with Armenpress, Gasparyan provided details about sustaining an injury during the World Cup competition. "I had to undergo surgery because I was injured during the World Cup. We operated on my cruciate ligaments and meniscus. My thigh muscle was also injured," he said.

Samvel Gasparyan is a two-time European champion, a three-time silver medalist, and has also won a bronze medal at the World Championships.
