Kazakhstan Ready to Provide Platform for Negotiations Between Russia and Ukraine: Ambassador
Kazakhstan is prepared to create conditions for discussing the resolution of the Ukraine conflict and to provide a platform for the parties involved for appropriate dialogue. This was stated by Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abaev, in an interview with TASS.
“Kazakhstan has always been ready to support all processes aimed at peace. This is not just about Russia and Ukraine, but also the issues concerning Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as Syria and Iran. It may be slightly overstated to call ourselves mediators, but we are ready to provide a platform and create conditions for communication,” said the Kazakh ambassador.
It should be recalled that earlier, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that a platform for negotiations would also be offered to Armenia and Azerbaijan. It is expected that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place in the country soon.
