VIDEO: Attorney General Reveals New Details on Child Abuse Case in Gavar

The Attorney General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, provided new details today regarding the video that surfaced online on August 18, 2023, showing a woman abusing a minor girl. During a statement in the National Assembly, Vardapetyan announced that the case is already in court.

"Eleven episodes have been uncovered within the framework of the case. We have not published specific information about the case on our website because these children will grow up and live in our society. We want the individuals who committed this act to be punished," stated the Attorney General.

According to Vardapetyan, there is a separate aspect of the case concerning an individual located in a correctional facility. "We still need to investigate and understand how the person in the 'Nubarashen' prison exploited a phone with a specific IP address for 11 months and how they had access to online platforms," emphasized Vardapetyan.
