Turkey Exits Monitoring Center in Nagorno-Karabakh, Defense Minister Announces

Turkey is withdrawing from the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center located in the occupied region of Artsakh, specifically in Aghdam. This announcement was made by Turkey's National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, commenting on the closure of the center.
“Turkey is leaving the monitoring center in Nagorno-Karabakh following the decision of the Russian Federation to close it,” he stated.
On April 26, it was reported that a ceremonial event marking the closure of the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center took place in the Aghdam region of occupied Artsakh. The center was inaugurated on January 30, 2021. Earlier, it was also announced that Russian peacekeepers would be withdrawn from the occupied region of Artsakh.
