KP Plans to Turn the Prosecutor General's Report into a Trial of the Opposition: 'Hraparak'

According to the 'Hraparak' newspaper, the ruling faction has discussed and decided to turn last year's report of the Prosecutor General into a trial of the opposition. They will recall old stories about the former government's theft and corruption, crafting a grand presentation with bold speeches and Q&A sessions aimed at refreshing the topic of the former officials in the public eye while distracting attention from the tragic events occurring in Armenia. This is happening at a time when Prime Minister Pashinyan is making unilateral concessions of Armenian territories under the guise of the delimitation and demarcation process.

The current administration will once again attempt to attribute all of Armenia's present misfortunes to the former government's looting and corruption, reshaping the narrative that 'the former officials handed over Artsakh' into 'the former ones had given away Tavush.' The reality is that the Human Rights Defender's report includes details about the illegally acquired properties and how much illegal wealth each former official and public figure possesses, as well as how much money the state is demanding from them. Among those officials are the second president of Armenia and other high-ranking former officials.

While it is true that they have managed to recover very little from these former officials, it is clear that these court proceedings will drag on for years, and the outcomes remain uncertain. However, the show stemming from the initiated prosecutions will be ensured. The prosecutor's report is set to be discussed today.
