For the Government Leader, There Is No Own Homeland, No Own People, and No Own State: Bishop Bagrat

The situation allows me to state that the Armenian 'Government' and its leader have crossed into terror and intimidation. This was mentioned by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the head of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, to reporters near the Ijevan police station.

“For the government leader, there is neither a homeland, nor a people, nor a state of his own. What happened this morning is entirely a lie; it is illegal and violent. They detained people who were simply defending their rights,” he said.

Bishop Bagrat added: “They must answer for this; no irresponsible or unanswered question will remain for us.”

It should be noted that early this morning, police detained villagers conducting a 24-hour watch near a military-designated road in the village of Kiran. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that today 31 citizens were taken to the territorial division of the police in the Tavush region. All detainees from Kiran have been released. They report that they were detained by pulling and hitting them.
