If There Is a Visibility Issue with Azerbaijanis, We Can Plant Trees or Build a Wall in Kiran: Nikol Pashinyan

If there is a visibility issue with Azerbaijanis, we can plant trees or build a wall in Kiran. This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with Petros Ghazaryan.

“First, let’s note that no work has been done on the ground; there are still many questions that we do not have answers to until we conduct work on the ground. We see the maps; we see them on Google Maps, but nevertheless, the experiences from Voskepar and Berkaber have shown that when you go to the terrain at those coordinates, it turns out that your perceptions of that terrain are somewhat different than on-site because, no matter how accurate the maps and satellite images are, seeing it physically on the ground is another thing.

There has not been a case during this time where we can place a point on a satellite image and then go physically to the ground and have them match. Moreover, there is both opportunity and risk here. I want to repeat: it can be a bit this way or a bit that way. Before I formulated my answer, I tried to clarify this: if there is a visibility issue, I said we can plant trees, we can build a wall, if the issue is visibility. But we need to understand…” he said.
