We Are Ready to Support the Protection of Cultural and Spiritual Heritage in Gaza: Mirzoyan

Armenia is ready to temporarily host manuscripts located in the conflict zone between Israel and Hamas. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“We have a world-renowned repository for manuscripts, where we can temporarily host the manuscripts if needed, moving them from the conflict zone and then returning them when everything settles down,” he noted.

Mirzoyan also declared that Yerevan is unequivocally against targeting civilians. “We found ourselves in a similar situation when around 100,000 Armenians were forced to leave their historic homeland to save the lives of their family members. Thus, we are against targeting civilians. Recently, we sent humanitarian aid to help alleviate the suffering of those who have found themselves in similar situations. In general, we have always supported a peaceful resolution of conflicts and the resolution of the long-standing conflict and the Palestinian issue based on the ‘two-state’ principle,” he emphasized, referring to the Armenians who left Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan's attack in September 2023.

Mirzoyan also highlighted that Armenia supports a peaceful resolution to the conflict and the resolution of the long-standing conflict and the Palestinian issue based on the ‘two-state’ principle.

Armenia has sent 29.94 tons of humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza. The Armenian government has provided food, canned goods, dry food, and medical supplies including solutions and antibiotics. The agreement was reached during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Egypt.
