Armenia Yet to Give Its Consent: Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry on Mirzoyan-Bayramov Meeting

The date for negotiations between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan has not been determined yet, as Yerevan has not responded to the proposal.

This was stated by Kazakhstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev during the third session of the Arab Forum on Economy and Cooperation with Central Asia and Azerbaijan, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"As far as I know, the date for the meeting is still undecided because Armenia has yet to give its consent, but we expect that these negotiations will take place," Bakayev said.

According to him, it is no coincidence that Kazakhstan has offered to serve as a platform for these negotiations, as the country's mediating role in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue has been known since the 1990s.
