Police Spokesperson Discusses New Bonus System
As of April 5, a new bonus system has been implemented as part of the legislative reforms by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which includes a 30% and 50% reduction in fines.
In an interview with Armenpress, the press secretary of the Minister of Internal Affairs and head of the Public Communication and Awareness Department, Narek Sargsyan, stated that thanks to these two components of the bonus system, 113,287 fines have already been paid with a 30% or 50% reduction.
Sargsyan noted, "The legal reforms implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs aim to encourage law-abiding drivers and enhance road safety."
It is worth mentioning that if a fine decision has been made regarding an offense recorded by a patrol officer or through visual recording devices, the fine decreases by 30% if paid within 15 days following the notification, and the payment obligation is considered fully fulfilled (except in cases where an administrative penalty has been appealed).
Furthermore, if you have an obligation related to an offense that occurred before April 5, which is not in the enforcement service, paying 50% of the fine will be considered full compliance with the obligation. If the obligation is with the enforcement service, paying 50% of the fine will calculate execution costs based on the remaining amount.
Payments can be made by citizens through the official website of the State Revenue Committee (cesa.am) under the "Personal Cabinet" and "Inquiries" platforms, payment terminals, and banks.
