Gerard Depardieu Questioned in Paris, Possible Arrest: Media

French law enforcement has summoned actor Gerard Depardieu to a police station for questioning following two allegations of sexual assault, with a possible arrest on the horizon. This information was reported by BFMTV.

"This morning, Gerard Depardieu was called in to respond to accusations of sexual assault. He is currently being questioned at one of the police stations in Paris," the channel noted.

The complaints involve members of the film crews from two different productions. One complaint was filed by the production designer who participated in the 2021 film "Green Sheets," and the second by the director's assistant from the 2014 film "The Magician and the Siamese." Media reports in February disclosed that the production designer had lodged a complaint with the prosecution, alleging that he was subjected to sexual violence and harassment during the filming process. In March, BFMTV reported that the prosecution had initiated an investigation based on this complaint against Depardieu.

In mid-February, the newspaper "Ouest France," citing its sources, revealed another complaint lodged by a former assistant to the director, who claimed that she faced harassment from Depardieu during the 2014 filming.

An investigation is already underway against Depardieu for alleged offenses against actress Charlotte Arnoud. The actor denies all allegations against him.
