71-Year-Old Man Attempts Indecent Act Against 13-Year-Old Girl in Building Entrance

According to Shamshyan.com, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on April 26. Around 11:15 am, the operational management center of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report from a 38-year-old woman resident of Yerevan. She informed the police that a man had pulled her 13-year-old daughter’s hand towards him at the entrance of their building and attempted to commit an indecent act, telling the girl not to tell anyone at home about it.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers from the Arabkir Police Department's juvenile affairs division learned from the woman that between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, an unidentified man had followed her daughter home from school. At the building entrance, he grabbed her hand and tried to pull her towards him for an indecent act.

Thanks to the actions taken by the police officers, operational data indicated that the man in question was 71-year-old Tovmas T., a resident of Yerevan. He was arrested on April 27 at 8:00 pm at the intersection of A. Khachatryan and V. Pahazyan streets and was brought to the police department.
