When Will Classes End in Public Schools?

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, signed an order on July 27 that established exemplary curricula for the 2023-2024 academic year for public basic educational institutions (general, specialized, and special programs) for grades 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

The academic classes for the 2023-2024 school year in public basic educational institutions, which operate under state programs for grades 1-12, began on September 1, 2023, and will end on May 24, 2024. This will ensure at least 30 instructional weeks for the first grade, 32 for the second, and 34 for the third through twelfth grades while following a five-day workweek, and on May 25 under a six-day workweek.
