VIDEO: Tensions in Hrazdan as Citizens Block Road

Citizens have blocked a section of the Yerevan-Sevan highway in Hrazdan in support of the residents of Tavush. A dispute has erupted between the citizens and police officers who wish to clear the road.

Members of the National Assembly from the ‘Armenia’ faction, Arthur Khachatryan and Arman Ghazaryan, have joined the citizens in their protest.

It is noteworthy that since April 19, residents of border villages in Tavush have been staging protests on the Armenia-Georgia interstate road. They are opposing the border demarcation agreement that has been negotiated between Yerevan and Baku.
