Aliyev Speaks About Achieving Peace

“As a result of the ongoing process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, delimitation and even demarcation of the borders has begun. We have regained four villages that were occupied in 1990 and 1992,” stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin.

Aliyev highlighted that this morning the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center located in Azerbaijan has ceased operations, emphasizing, “This means there are very good opportunities for achieving peace. We are ready to cooperate with the countries that want to support us in this matter. The next meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia is planned to take place in Kazakhstan. Thus, we are taking additional steps towards signing a peace agreement. Delimitation has begun, and even the decoration of the borders.”
