VIDEO: I Have a Very Positive Attitude - Alen Simonyan on Buying Gas from Baku

Yerevan is ready to discuss the issue of purchasing gas from Baku. This was stated by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, in a conversation with journalists.

“I have a very positive attitude towards this, and I think we should discuss this issue,” he said.

According to Simonyan, it is not the case that none of the gas used by Armenia currently originates from Azerbaijan.

“I am confident that the gas coming from Russia, which enters their territory and then goes to Europe, essentially includes the same gas that comes to us,” the Chairman of the National Assembly stated.

He considers it a very good option to not only import gas from Azerbaijan but also to build pipelines and purchase gas from Iran.
