Residents of Kiran are Anxious, Reportedly Saw Engineer Vehicles: 'Azatutyun'
In the morning, residents of the village of Kiran in the Tavush region received reports that they had seen vehicles just beyond the bridge. The village head told 'Azatutyun' that they cannot specify what kind of vehicle it was, but residents have suspicions that they were engineering vehicles and that possibly mine clearance works will begin in this area.
'Azatutyun' did not observe any military personnel in the Kiran area; it was the residents who had gathered, and the administrative head of Kiran, Kamo Shahinyan, was also present.
The road leading from Kiran to Georgia has been closed for several days, and people are sleeping here. According to the published map, part of the road in the Kiran area, particularly the bridge, will fall under the control of the Azerbaijani side. The delimitation process is currently taking place in the Voskepar-Baghanis area, and the second phase will soon commence in the Kiran area.
Residents insist that carrying out delimitation in this manner is a one-sided concession.
