Now Tavush Is a More Protected Area: Alen Simonian
I am sincerely very happy that we have reached a point where we are installing pillars and fixing the border. This was stated by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian. He noted in a conversation with journalists, "The border is being fixed not only for the Armenian side but also for the Azerbaijani side."
Simonion assures that no millimeter of the Armenian border is subject to discussion. "Anyone with internet access decides to claim that they are giving up land. When you go and grab them by the neck and say, ‘Come, let’s understand what exactly is being handed over, point it out,’ they start telling stories. No one is giving up anything from the territory of Armenia; where we go forward, we pull back, and where Azerbaijan moves forward, Azerbaijan pulls back," he stated.
The Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized that Tavush is now a more protected area. "When you have no questions or negotiations from the potential aggressor on that line, you fix it and say, 'Here you are, here I am,' and you move forward. This also makes it even more protected," detailed Alen Simonian.
