Russian Peacekeepers Who Left Artsakh Cannot Stay in Armenia: Khandanian
Russian peacekeepers who have left Artsakh cannot be moved to Armenia. This statement was made by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia and member of the Civil Contract faction, Sargis Khandanian, during a press briefing.
He does not believe that Russian peacekeepers can or should remain on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Khandanian also noted that the peacekeepers were unable to fulfill their mandates in Artsakh.
It was previously reported that the convoy of peacekeepers had headed from Artsakh to temporary deployment sites in Goris and Sisian, and as later stated by the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, they arrived to organize the closing work of those points.
