Zelensky: I Was Shocked by What Happened After Iran Attacked Israel

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed disappointment with Western allies for providing assistance not to Ukraine, but to Israel, despite the absence of agreements or NATO membership. According to RIA Novosti, he stated, "Frankly speaking, between us, I was shocked by what happened after Iran attacked Israel. I am shocked by how allies worked together. .. Allies helped, despite the fact that Israel is not a NATO member, and despite the absence of official agreements between France and Israel," in an interview with French blogger Hugo Travers.

He has questioned the implications of this situation, noting that the attention of the U.S. Congress and American media has shifted from Ukraine to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. "We understand that the U.S. Congress started to focus its attention on the situation after the crisis began in the Middle East. And all American media, let’s be honest, are focusing their attention on Israel, Gaza, the entire Middle East situation, now it’s also Israel and Iran, which leads to less focus on Ukraine," Zelensky remarked.

He added that as media coverage of Ukraine decreases, so does the attention from residents of other countries, resulting in "less accountability from political leaders" and, consequently, a decrease in aid.
