A Working Group Has Been Established Under the Commission for the Demarcation of the State Border and Border Security Issues

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has established a working group under the Commission for the Demarcation of the State Border and Border Security Issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The decision states: “Based on the 5th part of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Structure and Activities of the Government, as well as considering the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 570-A dated May 23, 2022, on the establishment of a Commission for the Demarcation of the State Border and Border Security Issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, a working group has been created under this commission to clarify the coordinates of the corresponding sections of the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan based on geodetic measurements in the field, and to draft a corresponding Protocol-description.

The individual composition of the working group has been approved according to the appendix.”

It is noted that the 9-member working group will be led by the regional governor, Hayk Qalumyan. The group's members include the village heads of Novoberian, Ijevan, Baghanis, Berkaber, Kiran, and Voskepar, as well as Voskepar resident Serob Maksudyan.
