Iran's President to Officially Visit Pakistan from April 22-24

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi is set to embark on an official two-day visit to Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, from April 22 to 24, 2024, according to Mehr news agency.

It is reported that Raisi, who will lead a high-ranking delegation, aims to visit Pakistan to discuss issues of mutual interest with government officials. The Iranian president will be accompanied by his wife, and the delegation will include the foreign minister, other cabinet members, senior officials, as well as a large delegation of business representatives.

During the visit, President Raisi will meet with the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, as well as the heads of the Senate and the National Assembly. He will also visit Lahore and Karachi, where he will meet with provincial leaders.

Both sides will have a broad agenda aimed at further strengthening Pakistan-Iran ties and enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges. They will also discuss regional and global events and bilateral cooperation in combating the common threat of terrorism.
