BMW Collides with Municipality Bus on Saralanj Road; Over 25 Passengers on Board

Today, April 21, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 18:20, 20-year-old Zhivair Aslanyan lost control of his BMW while driving on the old Saralanj road towards Teryan Street. The vehicle veered into the opposing lane and collided with a MAN bus operated by 53-year-old Hmayak Simonian, which serves the number 1 route registered to the Yerevan Municipality. After the initial crash, the vehicle continued forward and hit a stone barrier.

According to reports from Shamshyan.com, initial information indicates that, fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The police have operational information suggesting that another driver created a hazardous situation for the BMW driver, who then fled the scene. The police are verifying this information and are working to locate the car and driver involved in creating the hazardous situation.

Photographers on the scene report that there were over 25 passengers on the bus, all of whom also escaped unscathed. After the BMW collided with the stone barrier, a significant portion of the debris fell onto the road below. However, officials from the municipality stated they could not take action as it was not a working day for them, and they would dispatch a new team tomorrow morning to clear the road and remove several tons of concrete.
