“There is no factory, no job. One person works as a cleaner, another as a saleswoman, and now this is what this person’s work is,” said a citizen defending street vendors, whose goods are being seized by Yerevan municipality employees on the grounds that street trading is prohibited.

“Everyone has their own way of earning a living. You have fallen behind the people, go, protect the land, preserve Vayots Dzor, safeguard Artsakh, not attack a woman with ten men,” the citizen said, addressing the municipality staff.

Aram Gyurzadyan, head of the Public Order Protection Service of the Yerevan municipality, responded by referring to the law, stating that it applies to everyone.

“The whole nation has a soldier today, should we all go out and trade in the streets?” he said. Details are in the video.
