US Responds to Withdrawal of Russian Peacekeepers from Artsakh

The spokesperson for the US State Department, Vedant Patel, responded to a journalist's question regarding the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh. “As you know, we were not participants in the trilateral agreement that ended the military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020 and deployed Russian forces to the region. Frankly, we have not seen anything that indicates that Russian military personnel are contributing to making the South Caucasus more peaceful and stable, and the events that occurred in Nagorno-Karabakh last autumn bear significant testimony to that. This is yet another vivid example that Russia is not a trustworthy ally or partner,” Patel noted.
