Video: How the Withdrawal of Russian Peacekeepers from Artsakh is Being Carried Out
The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Artsakh is being carried out in phases. This was confirmed by a diplomatic source to NEWS.am, corroborating reports from Azerbaijani media about the commencement of the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent from Artsakh.
"The withdrawal of the contingent is being conducted via echelon to Dagestan," the diplomatic source stated. The final timeline for the withdrawal has not yet been disclosed. According to Azerbaijani media, the peacekeepers have already left the Armenian monastery complex of Dadivank.
Neither Moscow nor Baku has officially announced the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
The peacekeeping force was deployed in Artsakh as per the trilateral statement made by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, which ended Azerbaijan's 44-day aggression against Artsakh and Armenia.
