VIDEO: How a Car Was Retrieved from the Voghji River After a Fatal Accident

On April 14, at 22:26, the crisis management center of the Syunik Regional Rescue Service received a report that a car had fallen into the Voghji River at the end of Spandaryan Street in Kapan. Emergency assistance was required.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Nissan vehicle had veered off the roadway and fallen into the river.

Rescuers conducted a search at the scene and inside the vehicle but found no victims. Several kilometers away from the incident site, local forces discovered and retrieved a victim, identified as Y. A. (born in 1990), and medical personnel confirmed the individual's death.

Special equipment is necessary for retrieving the vehicle from the river.
