Russian High Military Leadership Sets Goal to Capture Chasov Yar by May 9: Sirsky

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, has announced that the Russian high military leadership has set a task for its soldiers to capture Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region by May 9.

This information was shared by Syrsky in a post on social media on April 14. According to him, the heroic defense of Ukrainian defenders is hindering the enemy's plans as they repel daily assaults.

At the same time, he emphasized that the threat remains relevant. He noted that measures are ongoing to improve the efficiency of management and to release resources for combat units.

“The main task of these measures is to increase the combat readiness of our troops, to preserve the lives of our soldiers, to disrupt enemy plans, and to ensure the training of reserves. The fight continues,” Syrsky wrote.
