New Details on Stabbing at Sydney Shopping Center: Suspect Also Dead

Five people and the suspect have died as a result of a stabbing incident at a shopping center in Sydney on Saturday. This was reported by the AP.

Several others, including a small child, were injured, police stated.

A man began attacking nine individuals with a knife in the shopping center, after which a police officer shot at him, reported Assistant Police Commissioner Anthony Cook to journalists. According to Cook, five victims have died.

He mentioned that the suspect acted alone, and there was 'no ongoing threat.' He noted that the identity of the perpetrator has not yet been established, and there are no signs indicating a motive for the crime.
