We Are Not Selling the Matenadaran Building, People: Sargsyan Hayotsyan

We are not selling the Matenadaran building. This was stated today by Sargsyan Hayotsyan, the Chairman of the Committee of Higher Education and Science of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, during the presentation of the first phase of the Academic City project.

“We are not selling the Matenadaran building, people. This rumor has been circulating actively since yesterday. Should we consider that the building is for sale just because we are holding a conference there?” stated Sargsyan Hayotsyan.

Tobias Keil, Deputy Director of gmp International GmbH Architects and Engineers, which designed the master plan for the Academic City, presented the preliminary project. He mentioned that the project also allows for city expansion and the consideration of a tramway (with the prospect of a new metro station construction).
